Luca and Stefano Celiberti. Two brothers, one vision. With the invaluable collaboration of Paolo, a precision pharmacist who oversees every formula, every scale, every batch. A shared passion that led them to build something real: a laboratory where perfumes do not emerge from a printed formula, but from hands, mistakes, attempts, and nights spent recalibrating a top note.
We are in Gravina in Puglia, a stone's throw from Matera. The Atelier is a bridge between what Italian craftsmanship has been doing for centuries and what does not yet exist. Every fragrance is born here—from the raw materials we personally choose to the final label applied by hand.
Luca composes. Stefano tells the story. Paolo, a pharmacist, ensures the precision of every formula. That’s how it works. And when a perfume leaves here, it has already come a long way before reaching your skin.
The Nose
The one who sniffs and understands. He comes from the conservatory, then painting, then design. When he discovered perfumery, he stopped. He composes every fragrance starting from an idea—sometimes a memory, sometimes a painting—and doesn’t give up until the accord works. The bottle, the packaging, the name: everything goes through him.
The Storyteller
The big brother. The one who is out there, among the people. He organizes events, manages partner relations, and introduces Atelier Aethel to those who don’t yet know it exists. He has a natural talent for people — he walks into a room and, ten minutes later, everyone wants to know what he does.
We are not interested in following trends. We are interested in making sure that those who wear our perfume feel at ease. Recognizable. Someone asks you what you are wearing — and you smile.
We hand-select every raw material. Vetiver from Madagascar, Calabrian bergamot, oud from Cambodia. No middlemen: we go and test the batches ourselves.
Every bottle goes through a process that is never rushed. From the initial idea to bottling, it can take months. We are fine with that.
Our creative studio is in Gravina in Puglia, a stone's throw from Matera. Here, every scent takes shape among scales, test tubes, and dozens of samples. All by hand, all at a leisurely pace.
Every raw material is tested personally. We go and inspect the batches ourselves before bringing them into the laboratory.
Luca creates the formulas, Paolo verifies them. Every formula undergoes dozens of tests before being approved.
The perfumes rest in our demijohns for weeks. Time does the rest: the accords blend, the notes round out.
Each bottle is filled, capped, labeled, and sealed by hand. One by one.
